This policy applies to visitors of TechNewz.live (the “Site”), published by Marcomms Inc. It describes what information the Site collects through its own forms and cookies, and how that information is used. It does not cover third-party sites we may link to.

This section describes exactly what the Site’s own features collect — nothing more, nothing assumed:

• Newsletter signup: your email address.
• Guide request form: your full name, work email address, company name, and — optionally — your job title.
• Membership form (where present): your email address.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site’s hosting infrastructure and any analytics tool we enable will typically log standard technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URL.

We use the information described above only for the purposes tied to the feature that collected it:

• To send the newsletter, guide, or other content you specifically requested.
• To respond if you contact us directly.
• Where you’ve consented to Analytics cookies, to understand how the Site is used, in aggregate.
• Where you’ve consented to Marketing (Advertising) cookies, to measure the performance of our own LinkedIn campaigns and attribute referrals through our Impact.com affiliate tracking -- not for personalized advertising or sharing data with third-party advertising partners.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For visitors in the UK and EEA, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Consent — for Analytics and Advertising cookies, and for submitting the newsletter or guide-request forms.
• Legitimate interest — for Strictly Necessary cookies required for the Site to function and remain secure.

You can withdraw consent at any time through the “Manage Preferences” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” links in the site footer, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

The Site uses three cookie categories, each requiring your active choice except where noted:

• Analytics — helps us understand aggregate usage. Off by default until you consent.
• Advertising — loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which measures the performance of our own LinkedIn campaigns, and the Impact.com affiliate tracking script, which attributes referrals for our partner links. Not used for personalized advertising or sharing data with third-party advertising partners. Off by default until you consent.

California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. On this Site, that specifically means the Marketing (Advertising) cookie category — turning it off via “Manage Preferences” in the cookie banner, or sending a GPC signal, is how you exercise this right here.

“Manage Preferences” is available at any time, not just on your first visit -- through the cookie banner on any page, or via this Cookie Policy page.

8. Data Sharing & Service Providers

We share limited data with the following service providers, solely to operate the site and communicate with you:

• Hosting: Netlify, which hosts this website and processes form submissions.
• Email: Google Workspace (Gmail), which we use to send and receive correspondence, including responses to guide requests and quote inquiries.

In general terms: we do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with third-party advertising partners. The marketing-related scripts we use are the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which measures our own campaign performance only and does not build advertising profiles for other companies, and the Impact.com affiliate tracking script, which attributes referrals to the partner links in our marketplace. We retain personal information for as long as you remain subscribed or engaged with our services, and for a further 6 to 12 months after your last interaction, after which it is deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required by law.
